Global Aid Society in partnership with
Operation of Hope Worldwide

For over 30 years, Operation of Hope has been sending medical teams around the world to perform free medical procedures that give children and adults a second chance at life.  In partnership with Operation of Hope Worldwide, The Global Aid Society, works to raise funds to support the medical mission to Zimbabwe and its team of volunteers.

With the national unemployment rate at nearly 90%, many sick and injured children in Zimbabwe receive little-to-no medical attention. Each year, and over the course of ten operating days, over 100 people from various parts of the country benefit from free surgeries offered by the volunteer group. The majority of these cases will be children under eight years of age.

Thanks to very generous support a number of specialized instruments, including a Dermatome, (used for harvesting skin for skin graphs) has been purchased and donated. These instruments are now permanently available to the Surgeons at the Mpilo Central Hospital in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.
